The problem:
We, the people in modern countries are harming everything and everyone including ourselves, because we are buying products that are made cheaply, dangerously and in a way that will not sustain healthy and happy living on our planet. These products are polluting the planet and harming people nearly everywhere in one way or another. These products are made largely in other regions of the world where pollution laws are even weaker than the US's or worse, non-existent. We want nice things in our life; nice products, nice food, nice houses and nice cars - all of these nice things are really messing up the planet more and more every year, but they don't have to if they where made safely and designed to be safe when we used them. What can we do to fix this terrible mess?
The solution:
All we need to do is use better methods for producing goods, food etc., and we will be able to eliminate almost all pollution and harmful waste. Some products already exist that are OK for the planet and Planet Innovation lists them. We can help you make a difference buy finding them for you and by letting you know when new things come out. The fact is; most of the technology we need to live in harmony with the planet and each other already exists, we just need to force the powers that be to make sure it's used. PI is working hand in hand with organizations like Greenpeace and Amnesty International to help ensure the world becomes a better place all the time. The problem is we will never be able to advance pollution control enough unless we actually stop buying these damn terrible products. We may all have to make sacrifices in one way or another in order to make a difference, but with PI these sacrifices can be greatly minimalized.

It can be thought of as intelligent boycotting or as a way of conscientiously objecting with you buying power.

It's perfect for you alone or for community or college based groups to become involved with. If you are a professor or an active member of your community you can help build this organization into, hopefully one of the most important groups of our time. How about doing something good?
The problem is most of us will buy anything from anywhere. We need to educate ourselves and then act on our knowledge. The world won't fix itself. And that's why there's PI; to help everyone that cares to buy the products that don't cause as much harm to people and the planet. Thankfully, products that do well are often duplicated, replicated and made by every company in that line of production. Through PI and many other caring groups and individuals we hope to have the popular products be earth and people safe products. It's really up to you and me to make these products more popular. Use Planet Innovation to find lists exclusively dedicated to such products and you will be activlely participating in making the world a more livable, better and more peaceful place for all. |
Basically, PI is aiming to be the world's premier green product finder and green product reviewing service. We are free to you, allowing you to really get the most out of this opportunity to do good in the world. We also do not except paid endorsements from manufacturers that could inadvertently bias our reviews. Our goal is to help you find products that don't pollute, that don't use up resources and that in general are not harmful to anyone or anything.
The first step in making a difference is to let yourself care about what is going on in the world, and try not to get blinded by all the rhetoric and politics that in general seem like they are here just to keep us from taking on a useful direction. Expect to be able to start living without harming. And also get ready to do it in an easier more advanced and civilized manner than what was necessarily needed years ago. Because with PI you can be sure that the time and effort you put into making a difference will not be wasted.
Planet Innovation, a non-profit organization, with your help is attempting to compile a complete list of the most people-safe products and services, companies, organizations, farms and more, that will help you re-express the way you live and effect the rest of the world.
As the name may suggest, we are looking for innovations that can eventually allow all the people of the planet to live with awesome technology that will let us live together with great luxuries and with real peace. Clearly, as individuals we need to break free from our current system and exercise our right to be careful and caring people who consider our impact on each other and the planet above all else.
But that's just the concept...
